Half the reason I love Ikea furniture is because it's so versatile, a blank canvas which can be incorporated into pretty much any style or theme, not to mention the price tag. And now you can spice your Ikea furniture up even more, thanks to another clever little Swedish company; Pretty Pegs.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by the type of shoes they wear and now your furniture gets it's own personality too with these colourful and stylish alternatives to the standard legs available on Ikea beds and sofas. Super cute!

Would it be weird if I ordered these pegs first before my upcoming Ikea shopping spree?

Happy Mothers Day to my amazing mum.  The one who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take. I know I am a big pain in the arse some times but the fact that you put up with it is why I love you xoxo

any reason to celebrate

Banners are no longer reserved for birthdays, instead online store Banter Banner give us an excuse to celebrate the simple fact that life is one big occasion... every day. Can't you see this metallic gold Good Times banner turning any frown upside down. And I must have this Wild At Heart rosette stat.

Sure, they are a great alternative for your usual party decorations, but they would also make super cute permanent fixtures in your home or office as a daily affirmation. I mean who needs to count sheep with that tiffany blue Sweet Dreams banner hanging above their bead?

tricked out travellers

They may be kitsch and they may be cramped but god damn caravans are cool!
I imagine owning a caravan is very much like being a turtle, taking your time creeping along slowly and then stopping wherever and whenever you like to call it a day. Yep, pretty sweet if you ask me.

So when I came across interior designer Rachel Horn's tricked out 1969 Airstream (below) on Trendland this week I was super impressed with her chic and luxurious Moroccan themed re-furbishment. I mean this puts some 5-star hotel's to shame. Who new you could fit 2 beds, kitchen with cappucino machine, full sized bath and air-con in there?

So then I started searching for some other amazing caravan restorations and I couldn't go past these super cute retro trailer's from caterer Enjoy Cupcakes. Can you imagine Coral the vintage Shasta trailer pulling up at your wedding complete with festive canopy, twinkling fairy lights and full of cupcakes?

Pure genius - and added to my "businesses i'll open one day" list.  xx

Paris versus New York is a tongue in cheek blog project from French art director Vahram Muratyan, comparing the two iconic cities he calls home.

Whether you prefer baguette over bagel, or consider your self more Carrie than Amelie it's not hard to understand why Vahram's witty style has seen Penguin publish a selection of his work earlier this year in a new book (also featuring a number of new battles) to spark more dinner party arguments across the globe.

edible cookbook

German design agency Korefe are eating their own words... literally. The Real Cookbook is the first and only cook book you can read, cook and eat.

Made from fresh pasta, each page is inscribed with the steps to create your own traditional lasagne and while this was only a limited edition commission for Gerstenberg Publishing House I think Korefe might be on to something here.

Even a lousy cook like myself can't go wrong with this... as long as I can read german. xx
