LOVED UP // PALM BEACH LOVE BASH

Wow! I know, this is a long post. But I just couldn't help but share all the love of this amazing Palm Beach wedding. So many heart felt and fun moments in one day. I may be a little biased seeing as the gorgeous bride and groom are two of my best friends (yes that's me in the bridal party) but hey that's my job as a best friend!!
This wedding was also particular fun because I got to get my hands dirty with the ceremony styling as well as designing the invitations. I can't take all the credit though... Amelia (the bride) did all the hard work with the pre-planning and with her own amazing style (sometimes I think we may be kindred spirits) and the beautiful location, my part was pretty easy.

THREADS // CAMILLA // KAFTAN QUEEN

Camilla Franks is Australia's 'kaftan queen'... and the queen of colour if her spring/summer 2012 collection has anything to do with it. In her true luxe-bohemian style, the 'Gypset' collection embraces the spirit of the psychedelic sixties, combining exotic prints with sensuous silks and brave beading.

I'm loving the over the top styling for the look book contrasted with the etherial effect of the white parachute backdrop. Pure bohemian perfection!!

TERRA INCOGNITA

I'm back, i'm back and deserve a good slap accross the wrist for being so slack on the blog front lately. Sometimes life gets just a little too crazy and something's gotta give - unfortunately this time for me it was Paper Social. But i'm back and with plenty of inspiration to share with you all.

To kick things off I recently stumbled accross what I thought was an amazing abstract painting but was shocked to discover that these dramatic pink hues were actually aerial shots by Australian artist Steve Back as part of his 'Terra Incognita' photographic collection. These stunning images were shot over 3 years above the salt flats and foreshores of Western Australia's Hutt Lagoon. The pink colouring is an organic pigment caused by the natural formation of algae in the water. Isn't mother nature just amazing sometimes?

THREADS // FILIGREE FANTASTIQUE

Kiwi designer KarenWalker is no stranger to non-traditional lookbooks and she’s stayed true to theme with her latest capsule eyewear offering 'Fantastique'.

The campaign was shot in New York to “capture the collection’s optimistic and celebratory feel”, as explained by creative director Mikhail Gherman. “I love the way that even inanimate objects can immediately become filled with extraordinary personality with the addition of a great pair of shades.”

From broomsticks to balloons, Walker somehow manages to make the most random inanimate household items seem ultra-cool. This limited edition collection includes 3 of her bestselling classic frames ‘blinged up’ with laser cut and black and gold filigree.

Incu Sydney will be home to a Karen Walker popup shop Candy Bar from 5th - 29th November. I don’t want to burst your bubble but there’s only a limited quantity available so act fast!
