FASHION FIX // FOR LOVE OF LEMONS

Inspiration can come in all kinds of forms, but the most common is often travel. And so was the case for fashion label For Love Of Lemons Spring 2014 collection 'Land of Eternal Spring'. After falling in love with the culture, colours, food, architecture and people on their holiday in Guatemala, they decided to extend the trip and design their Spring collection there.

Re-purposing beautifully hand embroidered huipiles sourced from the local markets and designing prints inspired by paintings and tiles on the village walls, the sexy new collection is a luxurious treasure trove of garments for the barefoot bohemian.

Shot by photographer Zoey Grossman with the ethereally beautiful Carola Remer, it was hard to narrow down my favourites from the perfectly styled look book (hence the extra long post), but trust me there are plenty more gorgeous shots from the streets of Antigua for you to see here. Enjoy!

I know it was only a month or so ago that I posted about Zoe Paul's label Mister Zimi - but she's been at it again with a new collection and I just had to share these look book images for Miss Mexicana shot at Bali's super cool Motel Mexicola! My heart has skipped a beat.

THREADS // MISTER ZIMI

Continuing the journey of global wanderer the latest look book's for Bali based fashion label Mister Zimi see's bold patterns set amongst the contrasting backdrops of lush Balinese rainforest and the rugged desert terrain of an African safari.

I'm loving the luxurious purple and orange against the mix of graphic black and white animal prints.

Fusing modern Australian design with a distinct balinese influence and easy silhouettes Mister Zimi is available online as well as boutiques in Melbourne, Bondi and Seminyak, Bali - a good excuse for a shopping holiday to the island of the gods if you ask me.

THREADS // PATRICIA CHANG x SPRING/SUMMER 2013

Robots and Frills combine!! After studying graphic design at the renowned RISD and interning at fashion house Marchesa, New York based fashion designer Patricia Chang launched her first collection last year but has already made a name for herself amongst the fashion pack.

Her quirky style sees collections including rhinoceros heads, rhinestones and all things robot! She has caught the attention of our favourite Aussie fashion bloggers Gary Pepper and Tuula Vintage who are often snapped sporting Patricia’s wares.

The online store is due to open in the coming months and I’ve got my order ready to go, top of the list being the pastel collared robot shift. I’m predicting the collection will fly off the virtual shelf pretty quick so have those credit cards on standby ladies!
