STICKY BEAK // BEACH CLUB LUXE

Just in time for a long hot summer Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel has just undergone a multi-million dollar make over with the jewel in the crown the new three level Beach Club.

Paying homage to a mid century Miami vibe and doused in the most amazing shade of mint green The Beach club is styled to seaside perfection with boldly striped awnings, Basil Bangs umbrellas and the must have accessory of the season - the pineapple and coconut combo.

My heart is a flutter!!

POSTCARDS FROM SYDNEY

Some of you might not be aware, but my parents recently upped and left Sydney to start a new life in the south west of France. It's a hard life for them; wining and dining, scouring brocante markets for vintage treasures, making their own jam and slowly stocking their wine cellar (slowly only because Dad is drinking it as fast as it is stocked), but it seems they do still get a little home sick.

So last weekend I ventured out into the sunshine to shoot some of my favourite spots in our sparkling city of Sydney so I could send them a little piece of home. The images above include views across Sydney Harbour from Cremorne Point, the secluded beaches and trails of my home suburb of Clontarf as well as the waves at Avalon on the Northern Beaches.

And if you're interested in what kind of a lifestyle on the other side of the world could have dragged them away from THIS, check out their own blog Rustique France (yes, i've taught the old folks how to blog) and read all about la vie française!

ADORE SYDNEY SHOPPING TOUR

After the success of the Adore Home Brisbane shopping tour, Loni is at it again teaming up with Emma Blomfield of Nest Designs to host a tour of the best homeware stores on Sydney's Northern Beaches (where do you even start?!) on Saturday 19 October.

The full day tour (9am - 4pm) will include hot spots like Armchair Collective, Kristy Lee Interiors, Tiny Bird and Table Tonic just to name a few as well as a yummy lunch, bus transport between stores and a goodie bag, not to mention that many of the stores will offer exclusive discounts on the day.

Standard tickets are $121 or upgrade to VIP ($176) and get a copy of the Adore Home book when it's released early next year. So grab the girls and join in all the fun. Email info@adoremagazine.com.au to book your place - hurry spots are limited!!

STICKY BEAK // SARAH JANE CLARK'S SYDNEY HOME

You might remember last year I shared with you the Palm Beach villa of one half of cult Australian fashion label sass & bide, Heidi Middleton, via Tales of Endearment. Well now Natalie Joos has returned to Sydney to give us a look into the Vaucluse home of sass & bide's other half - Sarah Jane Clark.

Similar to Middleton, Sarah Jane has a relaxed, yet slightly more modest bohemian style. I love the black and white throw against the white couch, the oversized potted palms, the glass louvres and the striped bannisters along the staircase - genius!!

This is one fashion duo who should definitely get their designer hands dirty in a homewares range.

I HEART BLOGSHOP

So this post is ridiculously late but better late than never I say. When I first entered the design  blogoshphere a few years back there was one blogger I thought was the absolute bees knees... the super sassy Bri Emery of designlovefest. So when Bri and Angela decided it was time to bring their uber popular Blogshop course down under for the first time late last year, Jaclyn and I just jumped at the chance to be a part of it somehow... and so it seems 'intern' dreams do come true.

Blogshop is all about teaching the basics of photoshop for bloggers - so in exchange for helping part some of my own photoshop knowledge on a group of eager blogging beavers, I got to hang out with the extremely down to earth Bri and Angela for the weekend at the amazingly cool space that is Studio Neon.

We learnt, we laughed and we instagrammed (alot).

Check out the video below for just a small glimpse at the fun that was Blogshop Sydney (yes thats me doing the fish face) or check out Bri's own run down of the weekend here.
